The Overlook was originally an awkward bungalow with limited space, low light levels, and an underused loft. Our clients relocated from the south of England with the aim of creating a comfortable, well-designed home suited to their retirement.
We secured planning permission at the first attempt and prepared detailed construction drawings to remove the existing roof and add a new first floor, working closely with a structural engineer. A six metre rear extension now provides generous open plan living with underfloor heating, along with a guest bedroom, ensuite, and sauna. The first floor includes a principal bedroom with ensuite and walk-in wardrobe, two further bedrooms, and a family bathroom.
The result is a bright, spacious home designed for long-term living, offering comfort, flexibility, and a strong connection to its surroundings.
