Glazed Gable.

The Glazed Gable began as a modest bungalow in a popular North Wales village, with a layout that no longer suited modern living or entertaining. Our clients wanted to transform the property into a bright, contemporary home while making the most of its unique setting.

Planning permission was secured at the first attempt, allowing the existing roof to be completely removed and replaced with a raised form. A modern trussed roof structure was carefully designed to minimise the need for steel, helping to control construction costs while creating generous new space above.

The new glazed gable forms a striking feature at the front of the home, framing open views across the nearby nature reserve. This space now houses the principal bedroom, complete with a large dressing area and ensuite, offering both privacy and outlook. The result is a confident and well-resolved transformation that has become one of the village’s most sought-after homes.
